BIG4 Sunshine Resort Terms & Conditions 

Monthly Payment Plans:
These are offerred to guests who book directly with BIG4 Sunshine Resort (either online, over the phone or in person) and are an easy, interest free way to pay off your upcoming holiday

Pets: We welcome pets on specific pet friendly powered and ensuite sites within the park. Please note that no pets are allowed during School Holidays, Special Events or Long Weekends. If you are planning a trip with your four legged friend please contact us to ensure your booking is allocated to our pet friendly area. Pets are being trialled in Gumnut Villa Cabin Accommodation for August and September (until 20th) 2018.

Dimensions of camp sites and ensuite sites:  The specifics of your site booking are quoted within your reservation confirmation - including dimensions. Please ensure all your equipment including your car/boat fits within the site boundaries. "Slab" sites are NOT recommended for Camper Trailers.

Security Deposit: Your Credit Card number will be held on file as a Security deposit for the duration of your stay. Any items requiring replacement or unpaid balances (including late check out fees and hire equipment) will be charged to the card supplied. Upon arrival you will be required to sign a Guest Check-In Form confirming you agree to pay for any charges or services provided and to pay for any damage or loss to facilities, accommodation or equipment for which you and/or your guests are/were responsible. If not billed at the time of your departure BIG4 Sunshine reserves the right to debit you card at a later date once any damage or loss has been rectified. Your Credit Card details will automatically be deleted following your stay.

Check out time is strictly 10am.  Late check outs are subject to availability and must be arranged by contacting reception no later than 4PM on the eve of your departure. Day visitor rates and conditions apply. Please note that BIG4 Sunshine reserves the right to debit the credit card of any guest not abiding by the 10am check out policy (as per our terms and conditions)

Bunk Beds: Work Law Health & Safety regulations state that operators must comply with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4220:2003. "Children under the age of 9 years are not permitted to use the top bunk" & "children must not play on top bunk". Please take this into consideration when making your booking.

Complimentary Supplies in Cabins: A complimentary starter pack of tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo and soap are provided in your accommodation. Please note these are not serviced apartments therefore supplies are not restocked during your stay.

Reservation Cancellation Terms & Conditions

Cancellations within 24 hours of making the booking: Full refund   

NO SHOWS: Full payment will be charged for the booking

Cancellations providing more than 30 days notice prior to arrival date: $50 Administration Fee & balance refunded.

Cancellations less than 30 days notice prior to arrival date: $50 Administration Fee & balance held in Credit for 6 months at Big 4 Sunshine South West Rocks. Credit may be used for new bookings on any date in the Credit is transferrable to another guest reservation. Reservation dates on new bookings can fall outside the 6 month period. If not redeemed within 6 months, the credit will be forfeited in it's entirety.

$30/$45 Site Specials: No refunds on cancellations; however dates may be changed if available within the Specials range.

Reservation Amendments

All amendments to dates and accommodation type are subject to availability and will be at the tariff rate applicable to the new dates. If an alteration to your reservation does not require a refund, no Amendment Fee will be applicable.

More than 30 days notice of change prior to arrival date: If the alteration to your reservation results in a refund - a $25 Amendment Fee is payable.

Less than 30 days notice of change prior to arrival date: If the alteration to your reservation results in a refund, the amendment will be treated as a cancellation and therefore the balance will be held in Credit, to be used within 6 months of the alteration date. This credit is transferrable to another guest reservation, but if not redeemed within 6 months will be forfeited in its entirety.

Early departure: Tariffs are not refundable or transferable if your stay is cut short for any reason, including bad weather.

Amendment of dates: Your request will be accommodated subject to availability. Please note the Amendments Terms above.

Special Event & Promotional Terms & Conditions

Art Workshop Promotional Price

The rates associated with accommodation for the Paint the Rocks workshops is only valid for guests participating in the Art Workshop and is not for the general public. These prices are valid for the duration of your stay (even if you extend your stay longer than the Art Workshop dates of 3/9/18 -6/9/18)

  • Art workshop cost is $560 for the 4 days.
  • Accommodation cost is extra and depends on the villa or site selected
  • No further discounts apply.
  • Cancellation policy as per normal booking terms & conditions

Direct Booking Discount Terms & Conditions

The Direct Booking offer applies to all bookings that comply with the following terms & conditions:

  • 2 night minimum or as otherwise stated

  • Discount is not availiable during NSW school holiday & NSW long weekend periods 

Live Chat Discount Terms & Conditions

The Live Chat offer applies to all bookings that comply with the following terms & conditions:

  • Available for bookings between 05/12/17 - 01/12/18
  • Must stay between the 05/12/17 - 01/12/18

DAY VISITOR AND BIRTHDAY PARTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION

The primary purpose of the Water Park is for children 12 and under. Teenagers and adults need to be mindful of this purpose and be aware that the speed at which they can launch themselves down the slides can be dangerous and it is unacceptable.

NO Bookings will be accepted for birthday parties for children over 12 years of age.

SHIPWRECK ISLAND HOURS OF OPERATION

Shipwreck Island is generally open from 9am to 5pm. When circumstances/ issues outside of our control arise there may be a delay in opening the water park or it may be shut at times throughout the day to ensure safety for all guests.

All visitors must come to reception to register prior to entering the park and must checkout at reception by 5pm on the day of the visit.

POOL RULES

  • There is no glass allowed in the pool area at any time.
  • There is no Life guard on duty so please ensure all children are sufficiently supervised at all times. Parents are responsible for their children's actions
  • Only 1 person to slide down the slide at any time.
  • NO climbing on the waterfalls or rock features
  • NO running, pushing, bombing or diving in the pool area.
  • NO food or drink is allowed to be consumed in the pool area
  • For the safety of all guest, no person with known communicable diseases, or ill with vomiting or diarrhea within the last 2 weeks should swim in the pools
  • Children with nappies must wear protective covering and waterproof nappies
  • Persons under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs are not permitted to use  the pool
  • NO smoking in communal areas (including, but not limited to Pool, camp kitchen, kids play areas)

JUMPING PILLOW RULES

  • Take your shoes off and leave your socks on
  • Play nicely, no rough stuff
  • No activities that will put you or others at risk (that means NO somersaults)
  • Let the little kids have a go
  • NO food, drinks, glass or sharp objects to be used or consumed on the jumping pillow
  • All bikes and scooters to be left in allocated bike racks when not in use
  • DO not jump on pillow if deflated
  • Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult while on the jumping pillow


GENERAL RULES FOR DAY VISITORS

  • BBQ facilities are provided in the camp kitchens for you to use. Please make sure that you leave them clean and ready for the next guest.
  • It is a condition of stay that guests provide valid credit card details which will be held as security for the day. The person registering as the guest shall be liable for any loss or damage and will be deemed responsible for paying all charges associated with this booking. Credit card details are automatically deleted after you booking is checked out.
  • As a day visitor you must abide by all Resort rules printed on the reverse of the Resort Map provided to you upon check in and comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this confirmation, which includes cancellation and refund policy.
  • As a Parent/Guardian I agree to ensure my children and those of my guests, obey all rules displayed on signage associated with all play and activity equipment, swimming pool and bike and scooter riding within the park. I accept responsibility for any misadventure resulting from disregard of the rules.
  • Management wishes to advice guests who engage in any recreational activity, on or near the park, that they do is at their own risk.
  • Any photos taken within the Resort that may include me and/or my children may be used for purposes of publicity and marketing either by print or electronic means. If not I shall inform the photographer at the time.

DAY VISITOR / BIRTHDAY PARTY CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking you will be refunded the total tariff.
After the 24 hour period, the below conditions apply. When a guest provides:
- MORE THAN 30 DAYS NOTICE from due arrival date - total payments received, less a $10 Administration Fee will be refunded to your Credit Card.
- LESS THAN 30 DAYS NOTICE from due arrival date - total payments received, less a $10 Administration Fee will be held in Credit, to be used at Big4 Sunshine South West Rocks within 6 months of the cancellation date. This credit is transferable to another guest reservation, but if not redeemed within 6 months will be forfeited in their entirety.


NSW SCHOOL HOLIDAYS/XMAS/LONG WEEKENDS & SPECIAL EVENTS

Day visitor/ Birthday Party bookings will be accepted at the discretion of management in NSW school holidays/XMAS/ Long weekend and special Events weekends.
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person or persons who do not abide by the rules within the park.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

The person registering as the Guest shall be liable for any loss or damage and will be deemed responsible for paying all charges associated with their booking and registered day visitors. Credit card details are automatically deleted following their stay.

By signing this form you agree that:

  • Any charge for services to you and any outstanding amounts charged during your stay (including late check out fees); or
  • Any damage/loss to our accommodation or equipment in the Resort for which you your guests or day visitors are responsible, not billed at time of departure, may be charged to the credit card. Lost keys will be charged at $50 if not returned.
  • All day visitors must register at reception and pay the day visitor fee.
  • You, your guests and day visitors will abide by the Park Rules printed on the reverse of the Park Map provided to you upon check in & comply with the terms & conditions outlined on your confirmation provided at the time of booking including cancellation and refund conditions.

  • Management wishes to advice guests who engage in any recreational activity, on or near the park, that they do so at their own risk.
  • Where an accident has occurred within the resort, please advise reception to ensure any relevant paperwork can be completed.
